Stone masonry is a traditional building technique involving the construction of structures using carefully shaped and fitted pieces of natural stone and mortar. The historic barns we restore and renovate all have stone foundations, many supporting barns for more than 200 years.
Stable Hollow Construction has two dedicated crews of stonemasons. They are skilled in renovations, including repointing and reconstruction, but also provide the same timeless and durable skills to our new construction projects.
Foundations, retaining walls, fireplaces, outdoor entertainment, kitchens and so much more; the uses of stone are endless. Our crews are excited to craft something unique just for you.

Our barn renovation project exceeded our expectations. The craftsmanship and attention to detail was outstanding. The work ethics of the field crew should be bottled and sold! Even our neighbors commented about how hard they all worked, plus they were a pleasure to have around for a few weeks.
We couldn’t be more pleased with the barn. We are honored to take part in restoring and saving a piece of PA history! I believe our barn will stay standing for at least another 180 years!
